I'm a 41 year old single mother of 4 children. I come from a mixed
background and grew up very differently.
I'm from New York but live in NC now. It's a struggle having a career
in the South. Being a woman is always hard but
when you add being a minority to it, things can be a challenge.
I appreciate Blacktopia and what it represents. It's gives people a
place to express themselves whether it be good, bad or
sad. It opens opportunity to hear what others have been
through or are going through. People need to listen. Sometimes
it's the smallest things that provide insight into our own lives.
I give back daily in my career and I try to help whenever
I can in my own community to empower others to make the
